Michael has lived and painted in southwest Michigan for over 40 years. An outdoor enthusiast, his attraction to the quiet reverence of land and nature are continuing themes in his landscapes and still lifes.

As a professional illustrator and designer, Michael has spent over 32 years working in commercial and editorial publications. His art has appeared in numerous nationally circulated magazines, children's books, periodicals and related publications. President and Creative Director of a full service marketing agency for 16 years, Michael was a regular contributing illustrator and designer for two juvenile magazines, and designer of related inter-active web sites for the GuidePosts organization of Carmel NY. Both magazines and web sites received numerous Ed Press awards for design and originality. Michael developed and standardized the well known characters for Kellogg corporate licensing and would later do the same with the Nestle Corporation. Michael currently pursues painting and illustration on a full time basis.

Michael’s drawings and paintings have been represented in the Clipper Ship Gallery of New Buffalo MI, Constance Petter and Water Street galleries of Saugetuck MI., juried and non juried shows, and at occasional regional art fairs. He has taught drawing classes and workshops in the Public Schools, Art Centers and other various workshop engagements.
Michael works in various mediums but continues to find the luminance and temperamental simplicity of watercolor to yield the right amount of challenge and surprises.

Michael and his wife Sharon reside in Kalamazoo Michigan.
